OBI BAG | HANDHELD
A handcrafted bag created from Japanese obi, reimagining a traditional textile for contemporary life.
Each obi carries its own composition of color, pattern, texture, and time. The section of fabric selected for each bag determines what is revealed and what remains unseen, making every piece unique.
Rather than simply transforming an obi into a bag, the work gives the textile a new place and a new relationship with the person who carries it.
Tradition does not remain still.
It moves into another time, another place, and another life.
Each piece is individually handcrafted in Japan.
