TAMAHAGANE OF PERSPECTIVE
A work that explores the question of perspective through the changing position of TAMAHAGANE on the body.
At its center is TAMAHAGANE — steel traditionally created for Japanese swordmaking. Its surface is transformed through firing, revealing a deep black expression unique to the material.
The TAMAHAGANE element is designed to move beyond a single place on the body. Its reverse structure has been specially designed so that the same TAMAHAGANE element can move to different positions on the body and be worn in multiple ways — with the choker, as an ear cuff, on a bracelet, or on a necklace.
From the neck to the ear, the wrist, the chest — TAMAHAGANE travels across the body.
The object remains the same.
Its position changes.
And with that change, our perspective changes.
